My career in recruitment started in 2002 for a small Finance specialist in Peterborough. I started in a support role – providing administrative support to a team of successful consultants. However, after getting a feel for how recruitment works, I decided I wanted to make the move to become a Recruitment Consultant. I moved to a National brand, within their Accountancy & Finance division in Peterborough as a Temporaries Consultant and spent several years running a successful temporaries desk and building a network of clients and candidates. In 2007, I got the opportunity to join The ONE Group (then Sphere Financial Recruitment) and 10 years on, I’ve never looked back!
Having worked in Accountancy recruitment for nearly 15 years I felt it was time to take on a new challenge and utilise my skills and experience in a different way, so I took the opportunity to move into a management role as Divisional Manager for our Office division. The part of recruitment that I enjoy the most is being able to offer guidance and support to our candidates – so to be able to offer this to a team of Consultants is great.
Outside of work, when I’m not running around after my young daughter, I’m out running with the local running club. I enjoy taking part in organised race events to raise funds for various charities and have completed many charity runs, 10k road races and the Perkins Great Eastern Run.
