New College Stamford [Temporary Finance]
New College Stamford offers education and training to over 3,000 students every year providing a huge range of courses to suit everyone – A Levels, vocational, part-time adult courses, apprenticeships, higher education and professional training for businesses tailored to both individuals and employers. NCS employs around 260 staff members.
The ONE Group had previously filled four roles across a nine-month period with New College Stamford (NCS) at differing levels of seniority within the finance team. With this new project, NCS required another successful deployment of the right staff at short notice, ensuring both continuity and quality of work for the college.
Financial Controller/Head of Finance - The Financial Controller decided to take her career off in a new direction shortly after a new Vice Principal Finance and resources had taken up post, with minimal sector experience. It was essential that an experienced, versatile senior accountant with excellent communication skills could step in quickly and 'bridge the knowledge gap' while recruitment for a full-time replacement was conducted.
Management Accountant - Additionally, a vacant management accounting post needed to be filled to ensure continuity. A candidate stepped in at short notice and quickly improved the monthly reporting cycle while a replacement was recruited.
Purchase and Sales Ledger - These posts needed cover at short notice and the ONE Group stepped in with reliable and competent candidates, once again covering a short term gap while full-time staffing was secured.
Louise Perry, Vice Principal - Finance and Resources "The ONE Group were friendly and professional in equal measure. They understood the brief, and provided the right selection of candidates at the right time, with every placement being a success. They considered team fit as well as technical skills for each and every post. These interim arrangements gave me the breathing space to get the right team in place for the college. I would not hesitate to recommend using The ONE Group for future interim assignments."
