Job Description

Our world-leading software client is seeking to recruit a new IT Operation Engineer to join their growing team. You will be working in the R&D sector of the business.

The ideal candidate will be an established IT professional that has a strong background in infrastructure and system administration. The role is predominantly windows based. The key skills are below.

Working knowledge of Microsoft .NET, Python or other programming languages.

Experience of scripting/automation languages such as PowerShell.

Experience of Windows Systems Administration.

Experience of managing Microsoft Active Directory.

Solid understanding of security best practice.

Proven ability to troubleshoot application and infrastructure problems.

Windows Azure or Amazon Web Services

Microsoft SQL Server

Job description and key responsibilities:

As the IT Operations Engineer, you will work as part of the IT team, and will have the following responsibilities.

Implementing application hosting solutions within private and public clouds.

Configuration and delivery of software packages.

Monitoring system stability and performance.

Troubleshooting complex problems and resolving operational issues, working closely with colleagues in a variety of disciplines.
