Job Description

Our client is a local success story and following an internal promotion they are now looking to recruit a Finance Manager to look after the day to day operations of a busy finance team.

The role will be varied and duties will include;

Working with the Managers and Directors across the business so that they understand the financial performance relating to their area of responsibility

Daily cash flow reporting

Supervising finance staff in the absence of the Head of Finance an providing cover in their absence

Production of monthly accounts for two divisions

Production of reports

Production of the KPI reports

Preparation of ad hoc reports as required

Month end reconciliations of the nominal ledgers

Calculation of accruals and prepayments

Management of overhead costs

Ensuring all reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner

Preparation of year end reconciliations and reports for audit purposes

Ad hoc reporting

Assisting the Head of Finance where required

The suitable candidate will be qualified or qualified by their experience, will have a broad base of knowledge and will be happy working in a fast-paced environment and to challenging deadlines.

Outstanding communication skills are essential as this will be a visible role where you will be working closely with senior management and numerous non-finance personnel.

Training will be given on the in-house finance system, but above average Excel skills are essential to the successful fulfilment of this position.

Experience working in a a growing SME would be a distinct advantage because no day will be the same in this role.
