Job Description

Our client is an established and growing business with well-appointed offices in Huntingdon.

Due to impending retirement they are now looking for someone to join their business in a Finance Manager capacity.

The role will be varied and extremely hands on and duties will include;

Managing one member of staff

Production of monthly management accounts

Managing the credit control & purchase ledger

Year-end accounts production

Reporting to German parent in a timely manner

Liaison with external Accountants

Balance sheet reconciliations

Bank reconciliations (multicurrency)

Accruals and prepayments

Cashflow management and review and forecasts

Quarterly VAT returns

Production of payroll information for external Accountants

Payroll journals

Preparation of payments for pension and statutory HMRC returns

EC Sales lists

Intrastat returns

Deferment duty accounts

Maintenance of fixed asset register

Journals and depreciations

Production of annual budgets

Overseeing health and safety for business

HR duties – managing starter and finishers, maintaining attendance records

Ad hoc projects

The successful candidate will have extensive all-round accounting experience and will be a qualified or qualified by experience Accountant.

Experience of SAP is essential and strong Excel skills are also extremely important.

Being able to work to strict deadlines and interacting with people at varying levels both within and outside of finance are also key attributes to the success of this role.
