We are excited to be working with an established and successful business based in St Neots. Following a sustained period of growth they are now recruiting for a Financial Controller to make up part of their senior management team. As this is a newly created position, there is great scope for the right individual to really make a difference in a company that is in demand in its field.
This is a newly created role and an excellent opportunity for someone with experience and vision to take control of and further develop the finance function.
Your role will be varied and will be hands on as well as looking at more strategic aspects of the business. Duties will include producing monthly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, stock and WIP valuations, reviewing stock pricing, cashflow analysis, VAT returns, fixed assets, balance sheet reconciliations , capital expenditure review, producing statutory accounts, overseeing a small team, foreign currency management, corporation tax computation reviews, producing information for P11ds, managing banking relationships, overseeing credit control, providing cover for purchase and sales ledger when necessary and any ad hoc duties and projects as appropriate.
The successful candidate will ideally be a post qualified accountant with proven experience in a the manufacturing or engineering sectors who enjoys the SME environment.
A strong understanding of Excel is essential to this role and knowledge of Sage would be a distinct advantage although not essential.
This will be a visible role that requires someone with foresight to almost anticipate needs within the business from a finance perspective but who will also engage with personnel both internally and externally to get the best outcome for the company's future.
