What would you say if I told you that I had a Quality role where you could actually do more than just inspect parts? A position where you could stretch yourself and do things like route cause, auditing, PPAP and calibration work? Well if you’re not interested in these other Quality duties this probably isn’t for you but if it is, check out the details below;
This World leading manufacturer who supply into the Automotive industry are looking for a Quality engineer to carry out a varied role for their UK operation. Now they aren’t necessarily looking for a fully-fledged Quality engineer but at the same time its more responsibility than a technician’s role also. Their environment is professional yet relaxed and it is certainly somewhere where you can expect some great team comradery. Within the Quality department there is a mix of new and old equipment, however they are more than willing to give someone the autonomy to take a lead on new equipment recommendations. They offer a great benefits package consisting of 5% match pension, private healthcare and 33 days holiday, oh and did I mention the 1 o’clock finish on a Friday?
Inspection will be 20% of the job so someone who is has the desire to learn the quality engineering side of the job would be well suited. The days will be varied but you can expect it to consist of:
• Using a CMM, Romer arm and manual measuring techniques
• Carrying out internal and external audits
• Control of measuring equipment including calibration
• Metrology analysis
• Route cause analysis
To recap on the opportunity, this is a standalone quality role, works alongside some great personalities, they are happy to give someone the freedom to put their own stamp on the department. Technical competencies they are looking for should include the ability to interpret technical drawings and prior experience of operating CMM and/or Romer arm, if you have any PPAP Metrology or route cause experience then that’s even better!
