Job Description

What does technical account management mean to you? If it means a call centre environment following a manual, then this probably isn’t for you. BUT if it means building relationships and going above and beyond to deliver technical support and excellent customer support from cradle to grave, then this job could be for you.

We are working exclusively with an award-winning Automotive manufacturing business to recruit for a Technical Account Manager. The role of Account manager will work closely with a select few blue-chip clients post sales to offer technical support and be the point of contact throughout the process.

And don’t worry this role is not a sales role, more of a technical support with client liaison so there is no cold selling required.

What’s required;

The soft skills required should include a methodical work ethic, excellent inter-personal and communication skills and be self-motivated, coupled with the technical experience which should include either mechanical or electrical technical experience which could come from an array of different industries. Some current success stories in this team have come from specialist vehicle conversion and plant manufacturing companies. The technical understanding is key to this role, it is not necessarily a degree qualified engineer we are looking for but someone who has a credibility factor when supporting clients, the typical point of contact in the end client will be fleet managers and engineering contacts so it’s far from a corporate world so a straight-talking approach works well.
