Job Description

You’ve always been that person who is punctual, efficient and proud of what you are able to achieve. Your background in procurement has been an overall success so far, but you’re looking for the next chapter in your career that’s guaranteed to enhance your abilities within a company you want to be proud to work for.

This position is not for the faint-hearted, you will be managing huge commercial accounts for high-profile clients well known in the grocery market. You will be thrown in the deep end, so it is essential you are able to hit the ground running in buying. For this reason, it is crucial that you are incredibly professional in your approach, have more than just a keen eye for attention to detail, but overall, you need to be passionate about what you do and be motivated to want to develop your abilities within a Buying role.

To give you a bit of an insight into the type of responsibilities you’ll hold, you will:

• Continuously develop and maintain strong, effective relationships with clients, suppliers and stakeholders

• Work closely with supply chain, commercial and logistics

• Support with the delivery of procurement KPIs

• Process invoices, stock control and stock reconciliation

• Maximise profitability by making full use of in-house systems

It is an incredibly exciting time to join the company, they are recognised as one of the top businesses globally in what they do and they need someone who shares their enthusiasm for the future and genuinely wants to grow with them in 2020. It is highly beneficial if you have worked in a similar role within the perishable goods industry, but most importantly it is the volume of work you will need to handle, so large corporate account experience is required.
