Management Accountant (Temporary to Permanent)

Job Description

Our client is a key not for profit organisation in the Peterborough area and they currently have an opportunity for someone who has experience of management accounts and enjoys being part of a big picture whilst adding key value in what you are doing on a daily basis.

Working in the management accounting team your role will be varied and duties will include;

Assisting with the monthly reporting process

Ensuring that all accruals, invoices and budget adjustments are completed within the agreed reporting timetable

Assisting with the interpretation of monthly budget statements, working with the Business Partners to identify areas of variance from plan and undertaking any relevant work to support this process

Working closely with budget managers

Monthly reconciliations

Providing monthly forecasting and budget setting support to stakeholders

Supporting the preparation of the annual accounts and interim accounting processes as and when required

Ad hoc duties

This role will start on a temporary basis but will become permanent as long as both parties decide that it is the right role.

A good understanding of working on management accounting processes is key to this role but a robust and structured training and support programme will be rolled out to the successful candidate.

A good understanding of Excel is essential and an understanding of finance systems is also key.
