My client are a extremely well regarded and award winning employer. They are looking for an experienced Risk and Insurance Manager to join their UK team.
You will be involved in a broad range of risk and insurance activities across the whole of the business, working with internal and overseas teams in Italy, France and Germany. You will develop your relationships with Brokers, Insurers and Loss Adjusters and other risk professionals, ensuring a seamless service
Your role is likely to include;
- Manage insurance (incl. claims) across the UK Business covering people, sites and functions
- Organise UK crisis management and business continuity activities and exercises
- Support Risk Management and Insurance activities across the group
- In particular to be the primary point of contact on insurance for the company's overseas offices
- Organise risk surveys of all UK sites and coordinate the responses to insurer's recommendations.
- Formulate and deliver Insurance and Risk management solutions for exposures that can be complex and challenging
- Maintain UK Risk and Insurance material on internal business Intranet
- Although not essential, you would have the opportunity and be encouraged to gain insurance and risk management qualifications
What we need from you
- A good understanding of risk and insurance principles is necessary
- An understanding of the standard insurance policies a company would have in place
- A helpful and understanding but objective approach is necessary, particularly when dealing with insurance claimants
- Ability to explain, encourage and persuade people to undertake appropriate risk management and insurance practices
The company can offer a generous remuneration package including a base salary of circa £55,000 DOE, plus a huge range of excellent benefits, including a generous contributory company pension, a bonus of up to 21% annually, overtime pay, flexible holidays, subsidised canteen and free gym on site, plus much more!
In addition the company operates a flexible working approach which encourages autonomy and a health work life balance. It's anticipated that you would work from the office no more than 2/3 days a week after training.
