This Easter we joined forces with the Northampton Hope Centre to help take a stance against poverty and homelessness.
As part of our commitment to giving back to the community in 2019, our charity committee organised an 'Easter Cake Sale' around our local offices in Peterborough, Cambridge and Northampton. The ONE Group's Recruitment Consultants planned to deliver to local businesses, with hands full of tasty homemade treats. The idea was to sell bakes for £2, in addition to being entered into a raffle and win a trophy cake. All proceeds were to be donated to a Northampton community charity the 'Hope Centre'.
Who are the Hope Centre?
Hope is a progressive anti-poverty charity that works to improve the lives of anyone affected by poverty, especially homelessness; through services, training, campaigning, and advocacy.
They provide practical services that help people survive poverty and homelessness
They help people to leave poverty and homelessness through giving training and skills to improve employability
They campaign against poverty and negative attitudes and poor treatment towards their client group

A huge congratulations to "Streets Chartered Accountants" on winning the raffle and receiving this tasty hand-made chocolate indulgence cake.
Overall it was a successful event, where we were able to raise an outstanding £750.35 for the Hope Centre. Thank you to all volunteered bakers, and everyone who purchased a bake for such a worthwhile cause.
