Although the idea of projecting your best self via video can seem daunting, video interviews are increasingly becoming a popular tool for businesses to streamline their hiring processes.

1. Check the sound
See what the sound is like in the room you choose for your interview - ensure there is minimal background noise so your interviewer can hear you without difficulty. It may be good to test this a few days before the interview and see if you can reduce any echoes by sitting in a room with a carpet for example.

It's crucial to ensure you will not face any connectivity issues. Perhaps easier said than done, it is a good idea to test your internet connection beforehand so you do not get cut off during the interview.
3. Find the perfect location
Sit in a tidy, well-lit room (perhaps in front of a window.) Not only will this allow your interviewer to read your expressions, but a tidy background can also reflect how you present yourself in a good manner.
