After graduating with a degree in Modern Languages it took me a while to find my forever career and eventually, I registered with an international recruiter who asked me about working in recruitment and that was it, I haven’t looked back since.
After four years working for national businesses, having identified a gap in the marketplace, I decided to set up my own consultancy specifically recruiting finance staff in the Huntington, St Ives, St Neots and surrounding areas. Over the years I built up a strong network of both candidates and clients and love being a specialist in my sector.
As enjoyable as it was, in 2016 I decided it was time to start working in a team again, and after much consideration joined The ONE Group, thank goodness they wanted me too! I have continued to maintain my focus on the Huntingdon, St Neots and St Ives areas and now I am in my 25th year of recruitment and hopefully have many more to come!
Whether it’s back in 1999 when I was a fresh-faced recruiter, or 2024 when the face is slightly less fresh(!), I still try to live and work by the same values, treat people as you want to be treated and remember that there is home for everyone.
Whilst I don’t switch off that easily, when I do it’s either with my husband and our three dogs, and if I’m lucky, in Las Vegas where I like to push my luck and enjoy the 40-degree heat!
