Jenni Brown

My career in recruitment started in 2002 for a small Finance specialist in Peterborough. I started in a support role – providing administrative support to a team of successful consultants. However, after getting a feel for how recruitment works, I decided I wanted to make the move to become a Recruitment Consultant. I moved to a National brand, within their Accountancy & Finance division as a Temporaries Consultant and spent several years running a successful desk.

In 2007, I got the opportunity to join The ONE Group (then Sphere Financial Recruitment) and all these years on, I’ve never looked back! My latest achievement (apart from finding temps their next best job!) was being promoted to Recruitment Manager for the Cambridge team; managing a small team of consultants helping them to learn and develop and connect with clients and candidates.

Recruitment to me is all about the journey and the relationship I build with candidates and clients. I have been lucky to be a part of so many candidates career journeys over the years – offering support and guidance at every stage and watched them flourish in their career and often as they progress, they turn into my clients.

Outside of work, my young Daughter and Border Terrier keep me very busy. I have a love/hate relationship with my Peloton bike and home workouts, but the fact I am also a keen baker means working out is more of a necessity than an enjoyable hobby in order to combat my high sugar intake!
