In my early career, I worked in the ski industry as a windsurfing instructor which was mainly used to fund national windsurfing competitions (which I would compete at most weekends).
At the tender age of 23 and realising that I probably wasn’t going to make it as a professional windsurfer I hung up my shorts, bought a suit and started out in recruitment. It wasn’t a particularly obvious transition, however, drive, passion, a willingness to succeed and a competitive spirit were all traits that stood me in good stead.
25 years later and I am now something of a veteran within the industry. I am one of the founders of The ONE Groupand hold the position of Managing Director within the business. I am still passionate about what we do and that our ethos and values remain grounded to those which is what formed the business 17 years ago.
