This business, a specialist provider of garden products, are on the lookout for an experienced buyer who can help decide the procurement strategy, supplier partners are managed and ultimately, the business receives value for money.

Your tasks will involve working with the category management team to set up a merchandising & buying strategy, have an involvement in product development discussions, building relationships with suppliers & customers, mould the sourcing strategy and make sure the business stays ahead of market changes.

What will you need?

• Solid experience in buying & buying cycles - ideally within a technical discipline (manufacturing, FMCG, engineering)
• Confidence in your ability to set procurement strategy & standards
• Fantastic communication skills, internally & externally
• Good stock management skills - demand forecasting, inventory management, merchandising
