This role is for an Electrochemist and would suit someone who has recently completed their PhD and is looking for their first role in industry!

The Role:

  • Support development of the electrochemical testing programme
  • Develop current technology for various commercial applications and products
  • Research and evaluate the performance improvements in energy storage cells to achieve the potential of the technology
  • Ensure resources are adequate and available on a day-to-day basis, setting objectives, scheduling work and ensuring successful outcomes
  • Liaise with external contacts (e.g suppliers etc)

What do you need to apply?

  • PhD in Electrochemistry or similar
  • At least 3 publications in the Q1 ranking journals
  • Strong practical knowledge of electrochemical cells (e.g. battery, supercapacitor, fuel cells, electrolysis) design, component interactions and testing
  • Robust theoretical knowledge in electrochemistry and electrochemical techniques & principles
  • Experience in utilising complimentary characterisation techniques
  • Test experience, with experience troubleshooting, diagnosing failures & applying solutions
  • Data analysis & interpretation skills
  • Presentation skills
