Job Title: Finance Assistant
Location: Kettering (Site Based Role)
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Working Pattern: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

The Role:
Our client is seeking a Finance Assistant to support their Operations Manager in day-to-day finance tasks. This role involves processing payments, maintaining documentation, and providing general support to ensure the smooth running of financial and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process daily incoming media such as mail, emails, and faxes.
  • Perform due diligence for contracts, including purchasing, returns, and processing for various finance types.
  • Post manual and electronic payments, account adjustments, and terminations.
  • Analyse daily over payments and maintain related logs.
  • Produce and distribute agreement-related documents, including invoices.
  • Ensure accurate imaging and filing of agreement-related documentation.
  • Manage customer direct debit databases and handle associated queries.
  • Bank manual payments and maintain accurate records.
  • Respond positively to inquiries and complaints from internal and external stakeholders, escalating when necessary.
  • Participate in phone loops and audit contract files as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and personal development.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs, preferably including A-C in Mathematics.
  • Basic financial accounting knowledge.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
