Job Title: IT Support Engineer

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000

Type Of Employment: Permanent

Location: Peterborough

Working hours: Monday - Friday between shifts between 08:00 - 17:30

Are you an experienced IT Service Desk Analyst looking for a new challenge? If so we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join one of our Peterborough based clients IT support departments providing 1st/2nd line Support.

The opportunity would suit someone who is technically minded ideally with 1.5 or 2nd line support experience, who is wanting to develop and gain a more diverse range of technical exposure, you will also be someone who is passionate about delivering the best customer journey and experience and enjoys engaging and building relationships with both customers and he wider business.

As an IT Support Engineer you will:

Provide first-class IT support via telephone and ticketing system.

Log and handle customer incidents and requests

Investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical incidents, escalating when necessary

Handle high priority incidents and provide Hardware Support to users

Keep the Knowledge base updated

Handle escalations of Security Incidents

Support Business-specific Applications

You will ideally be experienced with all or some of the following:

* Microsoft Windows Server/Desktop - All Versions

* Hyper-V or VMware

* Remote desktop services

* HPE server platforms

* Watchguard or comparable vendor firewall solutions

* HPE/Cisco network experience desirable but a solid networking foundation essential

* MSP central management dashboard such as n-able/ConnectWise

* Veeam backup solutions or comparable products

* Gamma Horizon, Swyx or other similar comms vendor experience

* SIP trunk config and management

* Unix/Mac basic troubleshooting skills

* Cat5 Cabling/termination and general hardware
