We are recruiting for an Optical Engineer on behalf of a Cambridge based deeptech startup. They're using innovative nanotechnology to devise ambitious solutions for optical applications, including VR and AR.

They are growing their small team and on offer is the opportunity to work at the forefront of this groundbreaking technology which is a turning lots of heads.

The Role:

• Design novel optical components and systems for a variety of projects
• Experimental implementation and Test
• Involvement in the writing of patents

About You:

• Suitable Degree
• Experience with either Head-Mounted or Head-Up Displays (or similar applications) is strongly preferred
• Good knowledge in geometrical and ray optics
• Ideally, experience in lens design at product level
• Experience in bench-top experimental optics
• Knowledge and experience in optical design and design tools such as OpticStudio or similar tools
• Collaborative in a multi-disciplinary and fast-paced startup environment
