We are recruiting for an Optical Engineer on behalf of a Cambridge based deeptech startup. They're using innovative nanotechnology to devise ambitious solutions for optical applications, including HUD, VR and AR.

The Role:
- Design novel optical components and systems for a variety of projects
- Experimental implementation and Test
- Involvement in the writing of patents
About You:
- Suitable Degree
- Experience with either VR, AR, Head-Mounted or Head-Up Displays (or similar applications) is strongly preferred
- Good knowledge in geometrical and ray optics
- Ideally, experience in lens design at product level
- Must have significant experience in bench-top experimental optics
- Knowledge and experience in optical design and design tools such as OpticStudio or similar tools
- Collaborative in a multi-disciplinary and fast-paced startup environment
