Job Title: Senior Buyer - Indirect Sourcing (Environmental Test, Inspection & Programmes)

Location: Denham, Middlesex

£45,000 to £55,000pa dependant on experience

The Role:

We're looking for a Senior Buyer to join the Indirect Sourcing department. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for sourcing and purchasing indirect materials and services to support critical functions, including Environmental Test, Seat Test, Programmes, and Inspection.

As a Senior Buyer, you'll lead strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, vendor management, and internal stakeholder collaboration. You'll work closely with departments to identify sourcing needs, streamline processes, and ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead procurement for the Environmental Test, Seat Test, Programmes, and Inspection functions.
• Manage supplier relationships, ensuring performance against KPIs and proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
• Conduct tendering and RFO exercises to identify new suppliers and enhance sourcing capabilities.
• Work closely with the MBA legal team to review contract clauses and ensure risk is mitigated.
• Support cross-functional teams (Engineering, Metrology, X-Ray, etc.) in sourcing and evaluating suppliers to meet technical quality standards.
• Maintain supplier data using internal systems, ensuring compliance with sourcing policies and governance processes.

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in supplier negotiations within regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills with colleagues and suppliers.
• Proficiency in SAP or related MRP/ERP systems.
• Knowledge of technical drawings and specifications.
