With a track record of developing its people and following an internal promotion our client based near Huntingdon is now looking for someone to join their small but friendly finance team.
This position will have a primarily transactional focus, but as the business continues to grow, so will this role.
The duties will include
- Matching, coding and entering purchase invoices
- Weekly payment runs
- Supporting month end processing
- Bank reconciliations
- Posting journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Taking responsibility for company credit cards and processing transactions
- Inventory adjustments
- Inputting hours to timesheet system
- Working closely with suppliers, resolving and addressing any queries along the way.
- Ad hoc duties
The successful candidate will ideally have some experience of accounting and will be a proactive and enthusiastic individual who enjoys learning new skills.
A good understanding of Excel is essential and some experience with finance systems preferred, although full training will be given.
Due to the rural location of this role, own transport is essential as is being someone who is happy to muck in and be based in the offices 5 days a week.
