Assistant Accountant - 12 month fixed term contract
I'm looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Accountant to support on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
This role is working 3 days on site, 2 from home (after an initial training period) and would suit someone who is available at short notice - although those on a notice can still be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process finance documents (payments, reimbursements, purchase requisitions, purchase orders etc)
- Monitor and report on company credit card usage
- Fixed asset register maintenance
- Financial analysis, reporting and audit
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end tasks: prepayments, depreciation, accruals, balance sheet adjustments, and general ledger review.
You will need to have worked in a similar role and have recent, practical experience of the above responsibilities.
In addition to your finance experience, you will need to be confident in working at an intermediate/advanced level on Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups, and preferably have worked with SAP previously.
This is a busy, fast paced role working within a small, close knit finance team.

Salary: up to £40,000 (depending on experience)
Working set up: Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 WFH days (after training period)
Location: West Cambridge - plenty of free on site parking and easily accessible by bus.
