If you’re experienced operating CMMs and want to work around some genuinely interesting high-performance engine components, this could be a great move.
We’re working with an established high-performance engineering manufacturer looking to add a CMM Operator to their metrology team. You’ll be working across a range of precision-manufactured engine components, using both PC-DMIS and ZEISS CMMs to ensure parts meet the required standards before moving through production.
What you’ll be doing:
Operating PC-DMIS and ZEISS CMMs to inspect a range of precision engine components.
Carrying out dimensional inspection and hard gauging in line with production requirements.
Identifying non-conformances and escalating any issues found during inspection.
Supporting the wider metrology team with changing inspection priorities and continuous improvement activities.
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience operating CMMs within a precision manufacturing environment.
Experience using PC-DMIS, ZEISS or similar CMM software.
Good understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and ideally GD&T.
Confident using a range of precision measuring and inspection equipment.
You’ll need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where priorities can change depending on production requirements.
The role works an alternating early and late shift pattern, with overtime opportunities available.
