If you’re looking for a change, something different or somewhere you can put your skills to the test then have a read..

Join a growing SME supplying precision-engineered components into the Aerospace, Defence, and Motorsport industries.

You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines, preparing materials and tooling for upcoming jobs, and producing high-quality precision components to meet customer specifications.

The role will involve operating up to 5-axis machinery, managing Fanuc controls, making programme adjustments where required, and carrying out in-process inspections to ensure components are manufactured accurately and to the highest standards. Strong attention to detail, technical ability, and a commitment to quality are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Set and operate up to 5-axis CNC milling machines, including managing Fanuc controls and modifying programmes to suit materials, tooling, and machine conditions.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing information to produce accurate components.

  • Carry out in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment, complete production documentation, and ensure parts meet quality requirements.

  • Support efficient workshop operations through basic machine maintenance, component finishing, deburring, and participation in continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Time-served CNC apprenticeship or equivalent experience, ideally with 3+ years’ experience in a similar precision manufacturing environment.

  • Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines, with knowledge of Fanuc controls and programme editing.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical drawings and use a range of precision measuring equipment.

  • Reliable team player with good written and verbal communication skills, general PC literacy, and the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet production deadlines.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a skilled engineering team where your experience and craftsmanship will contribute directly to the production of high-quality precision components. You will work in a supportive environment focused on quality, continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional results for customers.
