The One Group
A growing multi-disciplinary consultancy with a strong reputation across the built environment sector is looking to appoint an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join their Nottingham office.
This is a genuinely good opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their work, wants exposure to interesting projects, and is looking to develop within a collaborative consultancy environment rather than feeling like just another number.
The business delivers work across a broad range of sectors including commercial, education, defence, residential and public sector projects, with a strong emphasis on quality, sustainability and long-term client relationships.
You’ll be joining an established M&E team where you’ll work closely alongside other engineering disciplines, supporting the delivery of mechanical building services design from concept through to completion.
The Role
You’ll be involved in:
Producing detailed mechanical building services designs and specifications
Supporting the delivery of projects to programme and budget
Developing practical and cost-effective engineering solutions
Attending client meetings and helping shape project briefs
Carrying out site inspections and surveys
Preparing technical reports and reviewing tender information
Working collaboratively with wider design teams across multiple disciplines
Using software including AutoCAD, Revit and IES
The role would suit someone who already has experience within building services consultancy and is looking for the next step in a supportive environment with genuine progression opportunities.
What They’re Looking For
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
Previous experience delivering mechanical design within building services projects
Experience using AutoCAD and Revit
Strong communication skills and ability to work within project teams
Ability to obtain UK SC Clearance (or already hold active clearance)
What’s On Offer
Flexible and hybrid working
25 days holiday + bank holidays + festive shutdown
Competitive pension scheme
Health cash plan
Professional membership support
Ongoing training, mentoring and development
Enhanced family-friendly policies
Cycle to work scheme
Team socials and company events
Early finish incentives when company targets are achieved
Volunteering leave
Genuine long-term career progression within a growing consultancy
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a forward-thinking consultancy that places real value on its people, culture and development.
If you’d like to have an informal chat before applying, I’d be happy to arrange one.
