Location: Peterborough (Hybrid)
Salary: £36,000 – £43,000 + Benefits

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join a growing team where data is becoming increasingly important to business decision-making.

This role would suit someone who already has a solid foundation in data, reporting and analytics, but is eager to continue developing their technical skills and broaden their experience within Business Intelligence. Whether you’re currently a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst or a Power BI Developer looking for more stakeholder exposure, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand reporting requirements, develop insightful dashboards and help transform data into meaningful business intelligence.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports

• Working with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand reporting needs

• Extracting, analysing and validating data using SQL

• Creating meaningful insights from complex datasets

• Improving and automating existing reporting processes

• Supporting data quality and reporting accuracy initiatives

• Identifying trends, risks and opportunities through data analysis

• Contributing to the ongoing development of the organisation’s BI capability

• Learning and developing within a modern BI environment

What We’re Looking For

We’re more interested in finding the right individual than a perfect technical match.

You’ll ideally have experience with:

• Power BI

• SQL

• Data visualisation and reporting

• Data analysis and problem solving

• Stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering

• Excel and reporting tools

• KPI and performance reporting

Exposure to any of the following would be beneficial but isn’t essential:

• DAX

• Power Query

• ETL processes

• Data modelling

• SSRS

• Data warehousing

• Microsoft Fabric

The Person

You’ll likely be:

• Naturally curious and analytical

• Someone who enjoys solving business problems through data

• Proactive and keen to learn new technologies

• Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Looking for a long-term opportunity where you can develop your BI and data skills

• Motivated by continuous improvement rather than simply maintaining reports
