Are you a Quality Engineer with experience in CNC machining and automotive manufacturing?

I’m working with an established engineering manufacturer looking to add an experienced Quality Engineer to their team. This is a hands-on role supporting production, engineering and quality across a busy manufacturing environment, with plenty of involvement in new product introduction, problem solving and continuous improvement.

You’ll be working closely with both internal teams and customers, taking ownership of quality issues from initial investigation through to root cause and corrective action.

What you’ll be doing:

• Own internal quality issues, leading root cause investigations and corrective actions using 8D, 5 Why and Ishikawa.

• Manage APQP and PPAP activity, supporting new products from development through to production launch.

• Work closely with production and engineering to reduce defects, scrap and rework and drive continuous improvement.

• Support customer quality concerns, process/product audits, concessions and ongoing quality improvement activity.

What we’re looking for:

• Quality Engineering experience within a CNC machining or precision manufacturing environment, ideally working with aluminium components.

• Strong automotive experience with a good understanding of APQP and PPAP requirements.

• Confident with GD&T, engineering drawings, CMMs and handheld inspection equipment.

• Strong practical problem-solving skills with experience of 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, Gauge R&R and capability analysis.

This would suit someone who enjoys being close to manufacturing rather than sitting behind a desk all day. You’ll have the opportunity to get involved across NPI, production quality, customer issues and improvement projects within a technically demanding engineering environment.
