High-Performance Engine Manufacturing
We’re working with a leading high-performance engine manufacturer who are looking to add a Quality Inspector to their Advanced Manufacturing team.
Working within a precision engineering environment, you’ll be responsible for the in-process inspection of complex engine and powertrain components, ensuring parts meet the required specifications before progressing through production.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Carrying out in-process inspection of precision-machined components including engine blocks and cylinder heads.
Using a range of inspection equipment including micrometers, digital calipers, air gauges, thread gauges, plug gauges and contour measurement equipment.
Reading engineering drawings and checking components against specified tolerances and requirements.
Identifying and reporting non-conformances, maintaining inspection records and supporting Engineering with quality investigations.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience within a Quality Inspector, Mechanical Inspector or similar role within a precision engineering environment.
Confident using manual inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers and gauges.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, with an understanding of GD&T advantageous.
Previous CMM or metrology experience would be beneficial but isn’t essential.
