This isn’t your typical CNC programming role.
We’re working with a manufacturing technology business developing AI-powered CAM software that’s changing the way CNC programs and toolpaths are created.
They’re looking for an experienced CNC Programmer / Applications Engineer with strong 5-axis and CAM knowledge who also has the personality and confidence to explain what they’re doing.
You’ll remain technically hands-on with programming and machining, while also demonstrating the technology and talking through machining processes on camera.
You don’t need marketing, presenting or social media experience. Scripts and content are handled by the marketing team – they need someone who understands machining and can communicate it.
The role also offers hybrid working, with flexibility to work from home when you’re not required onsite for machining, demonstrations or filming.
The Role:
Program and support 5-axis CNC machining, producing components and demonstrating machining processes.
Work with CAM software and AI-assisted programming technology.
Prepare machines for demonstrations and filming, including tooling, workholding and setups.
Present machining content on camera, explaining technical concepts with support from the marketing team.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong CNC machining background with 5-axis experience.
Experience programming CNC machinery, ideally using offline CAM software.
Good knowledge of tooling, workholding, engineering drawings and inspection.
A personable, confident individual who enjoys talking about machining and explaining how things work.
Experience with Siemens NX, Mastercam or Fusion 360 would be beneficial, although other CAM software will be considered.
