Warehouse & Facilities Manager | Northampton | £30,000 – £40,000 | Monday to Friday, no shifts!

You’re already running a shift, managing a team and keeping a warehouse moving. But when are you going to get the chance to run the whole thing?

I’m recruiting for an established international business looking for someone to take ownership of its Northampton warehouse operation. It’s a small, close-knit team within a much larger organisation, and the opportunity could be ideal for an ambitious Warehouse Supervisor, Shift Manager or Team Leader looking to take that next step.

You’ll manage a small warehouse team, overseeing goods in, goods out, stock control, distribution and day-to-day warehouse activity. There’s also responsibility for facilities, transport providers and shipping documentation, including goods moving internationally. It’s a varied role, and with a small team, you’ll certainly need to be comfortable rolling your sleeves up and getting involved.

What will you need?

• Experience leading people within a warehouse & logistics environment, perhaps as a Supervisor, Team Leader or Shift Manager

• A current Counterbalance Forklift licence

• Strong organisation, communication and attention to detail

• A practical, hands-on approach and the confidence to take responsibility

• A willingness to learn, develop and gradually take on more

Experience with international shipping, particularly Ireland and the EU, would be advantageous, but it isn’t essential. There’s also scope to improve existing shipping processes and documentation as you grow into the position.

The package includes Monday to Friday working, 40 hours per week, 20 days’ holiday rising to 25 after two years, bank holidays, a 4.5% employer pension contribution and access to a staff discount scheme. The business also closes between Christmas and New Year, aside from one day supporting an annual audit.
